NEBOSH Certified Courses

All NEBOSH courses of Job Safety are provided by RRC, an authorized NEBOSH training provider, and Job Safety is the China regional partner of RRC.

Course Overview

The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, established in 1979, is an independent, non-profit examination and accreditation body. It provides internationally recognized professional qualifications to the private and public sectors worldwide, meeting their needs in health, safety, environmental management and risk assessment.

Each year, approximately 35,000 candidates enroll in NEBOSH qualification courses. The qualifications are delivered by 500 accredited centers across 80 countries, with examination facilities available in 100 countries. NEBOSH qualifications are also recognized by leading professional bodies including IOSH (the only chartered body for occupational health and safety globally), IIRSM, and IEMA.

All NEBOSH examinations and assessments are conducted by qualified staff and external invigilators, most of whom are chartered health and safety practitioners from industry, the public sector or government enforcement agencies.

Technical standards are regulated by relevant UK national bodies and technical committees. NEBOSH is also approved as an awarding organization by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). In addition, NEBOSH holds Investor in People (IIP) status and is ISO 9001:2008 certified.

1. NEBOSH IG

NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is an internationally recognized qualification in occupational health and safety.

The course focuses on international standards and management systems, offering widely accepted health and safety concepts and practices. It enables learners to understand and fulfill workplace health and safety responsibilities effectively.

The IGC is suitable for those working in health and safety roles, providing a strong foundation for further professional development and supporting career advancement in health, safety and environmental management.

Updated in September 2019: The course structure was reduced from three units to two. Content has been restructured and slightly simplified, with new additions including mental health, electric vehicles and new technologies.

2. NEBOSH IFC

NEBOSH International Fire Certificate (IFC) is a globally respected qualification that meets the requirements for Tech IOSH and AIIRSM affiliate membership.

Designed for managers, supervisors, employee representatives, fire officers and fire safety advisors, the course covers fire risk assessment and the development of risk reduction measures, aiming to support the sustainable management of fire risk.

3. NEBOSH HSA

The NEBOSH Health and Safety at Work Award (HSA) is an international entry-level qualification for new entrants and general employees.

Focused on practicality and ease of learning, the course introduces common workplace hazards, control measures, accident prevention and basic safety management concepts. Through case studies and practical exercises, learners develop the ability to identify hazards, apply control measures and fulfill their role-based safety responsibilities.

Upon successful completion, candidates receive a globally recognized NEBOSH certificate, laying a professional foundation for a career in safety management and enhancing employability.

4. NEBOSH Diploma

The NEBOSH Diploma is one of the highest-level and most authoritative qualifications in occupational health and safety worldwide, regarded as the “gold standard” of the industry.

Targeted at professionals with existing safety experience who aim to advance to senior safety management roles, the course develops core capabilities in safety governance, risk control, compliance, incident investigation and organizational leadership.

Covering key areas of modern safety management, the program integrates international standards, practical methods and real-world case studies to build strategic and systematic safety thinking.

Achieving the NEBOSH Diploma significantly enhances professional recognition and career competitiveness, preparing learners for senior roles such as Safety Manager and Safety Director.

II. Examination Registration

Job Safety provides NEBOSH online learning courses.

After submitting your personal information and payment, you will receive your login details within 3–5 working days and can start learning immediately.

Important Notes:

You cannot register for the exam alone without completing an NEBOSH classroom or online course.

You must select an exam date at the time of registration. You are allowed one free reschedule up to 8 weeks before the original exam date.

Eight weeks before the exam, RRC will send a confirmation email. You must reply to confirm in order to sit the exam; otherwise, your entry will be deferred.
